CDL started out as a way to bring some of Canada’s leading retailers together in one place to provide “members” with terrific products and services at greatly reduced prices. To date there are more than 23,000 club members. For a small membership fee, employees and association members reap large cost-savings by purchasing products or services from participating SCDL retailers. Among many other products and services, an SCDL membership can offer significant discounts on new and used cars, tickets to great events, great rates on mortgages, automotive repair, computers and electronics, massage therapy, and vacation deals.


A common problem among many companies is hiring new employees that fit into the organization perfectly. One of SCDL’s issues was a new hire that required some additional sales training in order to be an asset to the company. As well, SCDL needed to focus on more than just sales; rather they needed to focus on being a leader in the market and achieving this by growing market share.


SCDL required a way to build a framework that will allow them to improve their probability of attaining success. They required a way to manage their existing products and revenue expectations, and a way for members to value their membership. Through the implementation of business intelligence and sales force automation, SCDL will have alignment and consistency in their sales processes.

SalesCloud & CustomCloud

POIM used EnerStart and the SalesCloud to provide SCDL with detailed and organized Contacts, Accounts, Oppourtunities and Leads from their existing data. This information was also integrated with SalesForce Mobile to provide SCDL with an effective and consistent tool to manage their marketing and sales activities.


SCDL was having problems with alignment and consistency in their business. They now have a smooth operation from beginning to end by implementing EnerStart and EnerStart services. In addition, SCDL now has the sales training necessary for them to achieve revenue targets and the technology to align their accounts, contacts, oppourtunities and more.
